YSDTS Series 5 Concludes with Thrilling Wins in Elite and Youth Categories
The YSDTS Series 5 cycling event concluded with exhilarating performances across various categories showcasing the prowess of both elite and junior cyclists. The competition, held over the weekend, featured intense races in the Men's and Women's Elite Sprint, Elite Endurance, and several junior categories.
Men's Elite Sprint
In the Men's Elite Sprint, Muhammad Ridwan Sahrom from Johor emerged victorious, followed closely by Ahmad Safwan Ahmad Nazeri from Buceros Cycling Club in second place. Mohamad Akmal Nazimi Jusena, also from Johor, secured third place, adding to his team’s commendable performance throughout the event.

Women's Elite Sprint
Anis Amira Rosidi from Perlis claimed the top spot in the Women's Elite Sprint. Nurul Aliana Syafika Azizan from Pulau Pinang took second place, while Dania Avriel Alviera Azif from Johor rounded out the podium.

Men's Elite Endurance
The Men's Elite Endurance events saw Muhammad Yusri Shaari of Buceros Cycling Club take first place in the Elimination Race, with Abdul Azim Aliyas and Zulfahmi Aiman Zulkurnain completing the top three. In the Points Race, Muhamad Afiq Huznie Othman, also from Buceros Cycling Club, claimed victory, followed by Zulhelmi Zainal from Selangor and Abdul Azim Aliyas from Negeri Sembilan.

Women's Elite Endurance
Valencia Tan from Singapore won the Women's Elite Endurance Elimination Race. Yeong Zhen Yi from the Kuala Lumpur Cycling Team and Dania Avriel Alviera Azif from Johor finished second and third, respectively.

Overall Points Winners
The competition also highlighted junior talents in the Overall Points categories. In the Men's U15, Muhammad Danial Asyraf Mohamad Fikri from the Melaka Cycling Team took first place. Perak Cycling Team’s Huzair Mohd Haniff Shukor and Muhammad Ilmam Ukail Mohd Shahrani followed in second and third. For the Women's U15, Difa Irdina Fazallah from Putrajaya emerged as the winner, with Pulau Pinang’s Nik Khaliesah Balqis Mohd Rozi and Nur Surfina Zulaikha Mohd Suhaimi in the second and third spots.
In the Women's U17 category, Sawda Hasbullah from Kedah triumphed, while Nur Umairah Qhaisara Zulfikha Razak and Davia Evriel Eriana Azif from Pulau Pinang and Johor 1 secured second and third places, respectively. The Men's U17 category saw Muhammad Eirzam Eidham Che Mazri from the Perak Cycling Team win, with Hareez Naufal Syanizam from Selangor and Muhammad Aman Shafiq Gading Yasman from Putrajaya completing the top three.

Elite Sprint and Endurance Events
The Elite Sprint Keirin was dominated by Johor riders, with Dania Avriel Alviera Azif, Muhammad Ridwan Sahrom, and Muhammad Akmal Nazimi Jusena clinching the top three spots. In the Elite Endurance Motor Paced event, Muhammad Yusri Shaari, Abdul Azim Aliyas and Zulfahmi Aiman Zulkurnain excelled in the men's category while Valencia Tan, Dania Avriel Alviera Azif, and Yeong Zhen Yi led the women's category.

The YSDTS Series 5 event not only highlighted the established elite cyclists but also shone a spotlight on the rising stars of the sport, promising a bright future for cycling in the region.
